It’s hard to believe that 2022 is just a few weeks away, but it will be here before you know it! And you know what that means: it’s time to use this year’s remaining HSA/FSA funds before they expire.

When you check your remaining medical spending account balance, be sure to note if any can be carried over into next year. Some employers do not allow any rollover of funds—and the ones that do usually cap it at $500 or less.

Chattanooga’s best optical shop is full of great new products to start off 2022 in style. Here are four great reasons to schedule an appointment and maximize what’s left on your medical spending account today.

1. Eye Exams

Eye exams are a vital part of maintaining your health. Not only can our optometrist detect eye conditions in early stages, eye symptoms may also be the first sign of diabetes or high blood pressure. Most adults need an annual eye exam from their late 30's onward. Using your flexible spending funds on an eye exam is a great investment in your overall well-being.

2. Eyeglasses

Eyeglasses are the one accessory that many of us wear every day. While it’s great to have one pair that goes with anything, it’s also a lot of fun to have different glasses to wear on different occasions. A new pair of eyeglasses can lift your appearance and your mood. Allied Optical Shop is excited to carry the following designer frames—and many more!

  • Nash from American Eyewear MFG
  • Missoni
  • Coach
  • Vera Bradley
  • Vera Wang
  • Bebe
  • Jimmy Choo

3. Contacts

4. Sunglasses

Even in the wintertime, your eyes need protection from the sun’s harmful rays. Some people view prescription sunglasses as a luxury, but there’s really no better way to protect your precious peepers. Allied Optical offers an impressive array of men’s and women’s sunglasses, from designer labels including Oakley, Ray Ban, Rio Ray and Marc Jacobs.
